The Green Hearts Club will be having a toy
sale on Wednesday, April 20, to raise money for the Manitoba Wilderness
Committee and Humankind International. They
are asking families to donate gently used toys that have been outgrown or are
no longer played with. Books, complete
puzzle sets, board games, cars, building sets, craft sets, are just a few
examples of toys that can be donated.
Please do not send broken toys or toys/games with missing parts. For hygienic reasons, they will not be
accepting any stuffed animals/toys. Toys can be brought to school from Tuesday,
April 12th until Monday, April 18th. The toys will then be sorted and put on
display for the sale on April 20th. All items will be priced for $1.00, $2.00 or
$3.00. The toys will be saved from
landfills and students will be helping a local charity protect the environment and
a global charity build a school for refugees.
